Chocolate Pudding, Rain, and Cadavers.

It's been awhile since I - or, uh.. Marshall, rather - posted. So I decided I'd best just update since last Friday! :) But then I decided that a lot has happened since Friday, so I'm just going to mention my favorite things that happened.
First. My mom bought us chocolate pudding. I don't know if you've ever had chocolate pudding, but it is probably the best thing since sliced bread. And I love sliced bread a lot. Chocolate pudding is just a.. Mm. It's almost a liquid, and it's almost a solid. It's sort of like poop. But it's so delicious. It's chocolate!! I LOVE chocolate!! So like I was saying, my mom bought chocolate pudding. I had it last night before bed, and I had it for breakfast this morning, and I'm going to have it for supper tonight, probably.
Second. It's raining. It's been raining since last night sometime. I don't even know when. I just love how clean the rain makes everything. Except.. My road is mud. So driving down my road makes my truck not so clean. But it's all good. I will wash my truck when it stops raining. Which means it'll probably be summer. Finally. I love summer! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Summer is the best thing ever.
Third. Cadavers. Yesterday our Bio 30 class - with some extra students - went to Calgary. We went to the Foothill's Hospital "Gross Anatomy Lab". And that's what it was. Gross. Anatomy. In a lab. There were 4 bodies - very dead, bodies - that were dissected in different ways to see the different planes and parts of the body. It was cool, to a point.. But then it was like.. Gross. Because they were real people that donated their bodies! And we were like touching them and stuff! I mean, I didn't actually touch it.. I held a brain.. But I didn't touch any bodies! Haha! Then we went to the Telus Science Center where Body Worlds was. More dead bodies. But these ones were plasticized, so they just looked like plastic! Which I was fine with. It was a great day!!
This week, I learned that:
Kaitlyn Turner has some amazing talents.
Sean Flynn is freaking the most attractive guy ever.
Holly Drew is my favorite girl.
Ellen Degeneres is gay!! *gasp!*
Me and Carter Peterson rock at being awesome.
Happiness is a choice.

Grad?

Yeah, so this weekend I graduate. Almost. I just need a diploma now. :) But here is a blog of all my adventures!!
Thursday was when Viktoria got here. I dunno if you knew this, but she's kind of my best friend! Haha! Yeah, she's just amazing.
So Thursday night Viktoria and Breanne (Marshall's girlfriend) slept over. We got up at like 630 on Friday so we could be ready to go to Waterton by 9am! Cory Jo (best lady ever?) came over at 7am with her gorgeous babe. We left my hoose at 930 and when we got to Waterton we got in our pretty clothes and took some pictures out by Waterton Lake.
Good looking bunch, I know. :) After we took pictures at Waterton Lake we went up by Cameron Falls. And we hiked about halfway up the Falls - if you've been, you know what I'm talking about haha - IN OUR HEELS! My feet have never been so sore. Anyways, then we went and ate at Zum's - mm mm mm!! - and THEN we went to the Big Scoop and it was fantastic!! So then we went home and visited my Gramma in the hospital (sad.) and then we went to my hoose and messed around until it was Banquet time! The Banquet was super good and we watched a great slideshow that Morgan put together for us. :) But at the same time, it was kind of sad cause it was the last fun thing our grade will do all together!!
I stole this picture from Kaitland Hill - hope you don't mind, babe! :)
After the banquet we had the fashion show - stressful!! - and then we had the party. The party was super fun! We had tons of astrojumps and food and games and then we went and played The Amazing Race! Might I mention that although me and Nikora - the best date ever! - didn't win (sorry!).. We did freaking good! :) And it was super fun.
All in all, I had a great weekend. And I LOVE all my friends and the people who made my years in school bearable.

5/12/10

Before Friday.

I decided that I need to write a list of things I have to do before Friday, ie, Grad day.
- get eyelash extensions - done!
- get nails / toes filled - done!
- get eyebrows waxed - tomorrow
- buy razors so I can shave (cause I told Nikora if I shaved he has to shave too. haha)
- clean bathroom - done!
- put clothes away - tomorrow
- clean bedroom - tomorrow
- clean truck (cause I'm driving!) - tomorrow
- steam dress - tomorrow
Being sick last night / today definitely put me behind schedule. :(

Awesome..

So today I had my first IV, and my first hospital stay. Although, I'm not sure if it counts as a hospital stay.. Since it was only 7 hours. But here's what happened!
NOTE! *
This post contains information on my health! So deal with it, or don't read it! :)
Around 9 o'clock last night (Tuesday) I was just minding my own business, cleaning my bathroom, when all of a sudden my stomach just started churning. I ignored it for a bit, then by the time I went to go upstairs I seriously had to crawl. At 9:30 I threw up.. And went and tried to go to sleep. I threw up every hour, on the hour. Unless I tried eating / drinking anything. Then I threw up 15 minutes after I ate or drank. So I was trying to sleep until like.. 3:30. Then I went and told my mommy that I just was gonna go die, basically. So she took me up to the hospital. They gave me an IV with gravol, took my blood, all this sick dump stuff. The best part was that I got to eat ice chips. :) Mm. I freaking love the hospital's ice chips! At 8:30 they gave me some apple juice and I kept it down until 10 o'clock so I got to go home! Where I slept on the couch until like.. 4 o'clock. I feel much better now. And I'm glad it happened yesterday/today instead of like Thursday/Friday!! I refuse to be sick for grad!!

5/11/10

With graduation being this weekend and everything.. I decided to post my favorite poem / book about real life. :)
Oh, The Places You’ll Go
By: Dr. Seuss
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
Any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know
And you are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
You’ll up and down streets. Look ‘em over with care.
About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.”
With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet,
You’re too smart to go down any not-so-good street.
And you may not find any
You’ll want to go down,
In that case, of course,
You’ll head straight out of town.
It’s opener there
In the wide open air.
Out there things can happen
And frequently do
To people as brainy
And footsy as you.
And when things start to happen,
Don’t worry. Don’t stew.
Just go right along.
You’ll start happening, too.
Oh!
The places you’ll go!
You’ll be on your way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers
Who soar to high heights.
You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
Except when you don’t
Because, sometimes, you won’t.
I’m sorry to say so
But, sadly, it’s true.
And Hang-ups
Can happen to you.
You can get all hung up
In a prickle-ly perch.
And your gang will fly on.
You’ll be left in a Lurch.
You’ll come down from the Lurch
With an unpleasant bump.
And the chances are, then,
That you’ll be in a Slump.
And when you’re in a Slump,
You’re not in for much fun.
Un-slumping yourself
Is not easily done.
You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they’re dark.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?
And IF you go in, should you turn left or right…
Or right-and-three –quarters? Or, maybe, not quite?
Or go around back and sneak in from behind?
Simple its not, I’m afraid you will fin,
For a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.
You can get so confused
That you’ll start in to race
Down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace
And grind on for miles across weirdish wild space,
Headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.
The Waiting Place…
…for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
Or a bus to come, or a plane to go
Or the mail to come, or the rain to go
Or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
Or waiting around for a Yes or a No
Or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite
Or waiting for wind to fly a kite
Or waiting around for Friday night
Or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
Or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
Or a string of pearls,
Or a pair of pants
Or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.
NO!
That’s not for you!
Somehow you’ll escape
All that waiting and staying.
You’ll find the bright places
Where Boom Bands are playing.
With banner flip-flapping
Once more you’ll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky
Ready because you’re that kind of a guy!
Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ball
Will make you the winning-est winner of all.
Fame! You’ll be famous as famous can me,
With the whole wide world watching you win on TV.
Except when they don’t.
Because, sometimes, they won’t.
I’m afraid that sometimes
You’ll play lonely games too.
Games you can’t win
‘cause you’ll play against you.
All Alone!
Whether you like it or not,
Alone will be something
You’ll be quite a lot.
And when you’re alone, there’s a very good chance
You’ll meet things that scare you right out of your pants.
There are some, down the road between hither and yon,
That can scare you so much you won’t want to go on.
But on you will go
Though the weather be foul
On you will go
Though your enemies prowl
On you will go
Though the Hakken-Kraks howl
Onward up many
A frightening creek
Though your arms may get sore
Or your sneakers may leak.
On and on you will hike
And I know you’ll hike far
And face up to your problems,
Whatever they are.
You’ll get mixed up, of course,
As you already know.
You’ll get mixed up
With many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with are and great tact
And remember that life’s
A Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
Kid, you’ll move mountains!
So…be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
Or Modecai Ali van Allen O’shea,
You’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…Get on your way!

Never too many brankets..

ENGRISH!!
I rove Engrish, and I rove Nikora and Michaer and Corin for speaking Engrish arr the time! It's the best thing ever! :) Haha!
Okay, so we went on Show Choir trip. No big deal. You already knew that, though, since I posted on Tuesday (?).
Wednesday:
We met at the school at an unearthly hour - jokes, it was only like 8am - and loaded the buses. Me and Holly are the best bus buddies EVER!!
Like really. She's super lucky she even got on our bus!! :P We interpretive danced and slept and ate Pop-Tarts and she laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and it was definitely a hilarious thing.
So after we boarded the buses we drove to Great Falls and toured the Malmstrom Air Base. It was boring. Hahah! But fun too. The whole time I was just thinking of Carter and how he'd be living that life in a few years!! INSANE!! But so awesome for him, too! :)
Then we ate at the Golden Corral, which is the most amazing of all amazing restaurants. For those of you who have never eaten at a Golden Corral.. Go right now and find the nearest one.
After we ate we performed for a Stake Youth activity. The youth were kind of a drag lol. It was alright, though.
When we got to the hotel, we decided to swim around in a circle and it was super fun. I can't even explain it. Haha I just love Show Choir trips!!
Thursday:
We performed for the Three Forks Middle and High Schools. Last performances EVER!! :)
And then we went to the Bozeman Hot Springs, which is where Holly was completely delirious. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen. She couldn't stop laughing. But she wasn't laughing at anything! Poor girl.
Friday:
We drove to Yellowstone National Park and visited some glaciers and some hot springs and stuff. Haha. Big deal...
Saturday:
We drove to Lewis and Clark Caverns and explored and then we got home!
*More details later, I'm bored. * :)

5/4/10

Just A Small Town Girl.

Living in a lonely world.. :)
Jokes. It's not too lonely. Just today, cause I'm bored.
But tomorrow.....
*Drum roll, please!*
SHOW CHOIR TRIP!!
Yes, ladies and gentlemen.. My last - final, senior, the end! - Show Choir trip. Feelings? I'm kind of sad! Trip is hands down the best part of Show Choir. Besides the songs that Laura choreographs. :P I do love that woman.
Anyways. So in Grade 10 we took a train - yep, a train!! - to Spokane, Washington. And it was so hot and we all got sunburns and it was so fun! I roomed with Malissa, Sydnee, and Paige.. And we invented vertical spooning.

It was kind of a big deal.
Then in Grade 11 we went to HAWAII! And it was amazing and I love Hawaii and me and m mom just went back to Hawaii in April and it was fantastic and I miss it. :( But whatever.. That's over and done with.. It was just a big - bigger than Spokane! - deal, that's all. Anyways. I roomed with Attena, Roxanne, and Maddie. :)
This was at the Lai'e Temple Visitor's Center. Look how happy we all are! Because we were in HAWAII!! :)
And this year, as I mentioned earlier, Yellowstone. I mean, if you compare it to taking a train to Spokane and just going to Hawaii.. It's kind of lame. But! Not if you go with a positive attitude! Which I am! This year I'm rooming with my mom. Haha! It's kind of a long story, but that's where I'm at. It's fine though. Highlights of this years trip?
The Golden Corral!! I am so freaking excited to just eat there! It's the most amazing restaurant ever..
Lewis and Clark Caverns. I went with my family a couple years ago, on our way to California, and I loved it, although my family members weren't such avid fans.
The home of Yogi Bear - right? Yellowstone National Park - Old Faithful. I've always wanted to see Old Faithful. For as long as I can remember. And for some reason, my parents have never taken us! So I'm pretty excited to finally fulfill my life long dream! :P
Not to mention that we're also touring the Malmstrom Air Base in Great Falls, performing the whole show 3 times - once for a joint Stake Youth activity in Great Falls, and for 2 schools in Three Forks - and.. Well, I'm not even sure what else. But have you ever heard the saying..
"Getting there is half the fun."
Because with Show Choir.. Getting there is ALL the fun. I can't wait for the bus ride!!! :) Although I'll admit, I'll miss my graduated friends quite fiercely. David and Jessica and Stephanie and Naomi and Jayna always made the trip lively.. Mike and Nikora and Holly will make up for it, I'm sure!
Well, bloggers, don't miss me too much! I won't be back online to blog until SUNDAY! Hold out!

5/3/10

Best Friends. :)

I have 3 of the best friends in the entire world. I mean, don't get me wrong.. I have some other amazing friends too. But these 3 are MY bests! :) So first.
David Scott Paxman.
Er..
Elder David Scott Paxman. :)
Yeah, that's right.. My best friend is a missionary. And I am so proud of him for it. However, I can't really write too much about him, or I get too emotional. He's serving in Atlanta, Georgia. He left on March 3, 2010. I don't even know how we met. Haha. I think probably because I was sort of dating his best friend. And then after we broke up.. Me and Davie dated. And it was legit. :) I just love this guy.. I almost called him a kid, but he's anything but a kid. I can't wait for him to get home and see how much he's changed and grown up.
Next!

Jessica Marie Baker.
Aka,
My twin.
Okay, so we're not really twins. But we might as well be! We have a TON in common.. Like we love the same TV shows and colors and food and we're both too lazy to do our hair and we both have brothers named Justin and Tyler and our cousins are cousins AND we have the same birthday! (See picture below.)
Me and Jessica
August 17, 2009
This year for OUR birthday, MY mom took us to get pedicures and we ate at the Cheesecake Cafe. It was divine. However, this birthday we will be separated, for she will be back at school (She's a WSU - Weber State University - Wildcat!) and I will be attending a Michael Buble concert with my mother and my OTHER best friend (see below for details). I love when Jessica comes home from school, because sometimes we cry together. And we used to get ready for Show Choir together..
But then she graduated, so I had to get ready for Show Choir by myself. :( Oh well. :) We are just the best of friends.
Oh, before I move on to my last, but certainly not least best friend.. Here is my ALL TIME favorite picture of Jessica..
Check out that leg action..
Okay, so as promised.. I present to you all.. Viktoria Sulz. :) This girl is AMAZING. Here is the story of how we met.
Once upon a time, in June/July? of 2008, I lived in a new house on the North side of town. So I was in 5th ward now, where I had been in 1st ward before. For some reason, I was sitting in the choir seats at church when this gorgeous girl walked in the back door. And I recognized her IMMEDIATELY. How? I had her on Facebook. :) And her hair that day was exactly the same as it had been in her profile picture since I added her. So I was sitting by Marshall(?) and I was like.. "That's Viktoria Sulz!" and he was like.. "It's weird that you know that." I decided I didn't want to go up and talk to her because.. Well, that'd be weird. Since we had probably only met like once in real life, and that was before she moved.. So when I was like in grade 4. Ya, that'd be super weird. INSTEAD I decided to creep her out on Facebook. So I got her cell phone number - weird that she had her number posted, yes - and texted her. And what I said was.. "Hey Viktoria, my name's Nicole. :) I know it's weird that I'm texting you.. But we're neighbors this summer.. So if you ever want to do anything, just send me a text!" And she said, "Ok thanks!" The next day.. I texted her and said.. "Hey, me and my friend - David - are going for a walk with my cousin. You in?" She said yes, so me and David took little Kalia over to her trailer, for their house was not yet completed to the point of living inside.. And we went for a walk. And that was the day I realized that I loved a girl named Viktoria Ashley Sulz.
Viktoria was the one who told me to tell David that I had a crush on him, which resulted in us dating. :) Viktoria is the girl who lives at my house when she comes to Raymond, even though her mother's house is right next door! Viktoria is the girl who has a best friend - Kati - who looks the same as me! Viktoria is gorgeous. :) Viktoria is incredibly unselfish. She went to Ukraine and taught English last fall (September - December) and she is going to China to teach English this fall! (August - December). I want to grow up to be just like her! :) She's also the girl who always comes down and surprises me! One time, my whole family was in Waterton camping and I didn't go because.. Well, I don't know why I didn't go. But it was Sunday and I was planning on going to Waterton that afternoon. But I was sad about it. So I texted Viktoria (I call her Viktoria because I think Tori is much to plain of a name for such a wonderful girl!) and told her I didn't want to go to Waterton by myself. And she said, I'll come with you! And I said ya, like that's possible! And she was like ya, you're right. :( So then I was like.. Awe. I miss you so much! And she was like yeah, I wish I could hug you right now! And THEN! She called me. And she was like.. Come open your front door! And I was like.. SHUT UP! And I started BAWLING because I was so excited that she was here!! Turns out she just like.. I don't even know. Haha. She was here for like two days. And it was AMAZING. I was so happy to see her beautiful smiling face. :) She always knows exactly what I need to here and she knows how to make me in the best mood! Sometimes she calls me and we talk on the phone for ridiculously long periods of time.
One time, me and the handsome young men seen in the picture above (Adrian, David, and Marshall) decided that we wanted to road trip up to Edmonton to go to Tori's house, since she always comes to ours. The day after the semester ended, we took off in Adrian's car - Fred. This was a momentous adventure, especially because we were able to witness the marriage of Fred to Edna - Viktoria's car. We had so much fun!! I wish I could live with Viktoria, for the adventures would never be sparce!!
I love all of these amazing people. And I wish that I could write a blog on all of my amazing friends! Actually, I probably could. Who would I write about? Well, Marshall, Adrian, Ethan, Myriam, Roxanne, Carter, Sparks (I call him Sparks because I already have a boy named Nathan in my phone, and I hate getting confused! So Sparks it is!), Holly, Mattie J., Michael, Nikora (probably gonna be the best grad date ever! But that's a post for next week.. After grad!), not to mention my numerous cousins (Kaiti and Emily!!). Maybe one day I will write a post on all of these people. And I probably need to write a post on my family. My amazing mother and daddy and my awesome brothers! My life is such a blessing! I love everyone that I come in contact with - well, with a couple exceptions.. :)

Monday Woes.

I detest Mondays. It's hands down the worst day of the entire week. I start it off with Social 30-1, with Todd Heggie. Usually Social isn't too bad.. But this is a long class. An hour and a half. So usually he wings a practice diploma on us. H - E - double hockey sticks! After Social is Math Applied 30. Squi-dog. None of us ever do our homework over the weekend, so we spend this hour long class going over the homework while all of us quickly write down the answers. :) After Math is Biology 30-1. Hands down my favorite class. Jack McMurray is the greatest bio teacher in history, because he always makes everything so awkward for himself. Haha. Oh jees. Lunch, seminary, and then a repeat Social class. :( And then today after all of this.. We have Show Choir. Yep. That's right. We just finished all our performances. But lo and behold, we leave on trip on Wednesday! (Yellowstone. Big deal.) So we have to like.. Reblock everything or something like that. On the plus side.. After I finish my homework tonight, I don't have any homework to do until next Sunday! I love being in Show Choir hahah.
So once upon a time.. There was a CES Broadcast for all the YSA and Grade 12 seminary students IN THE WORLD. Guess what. That includes me! :) My first YSA Broadcast! It was definitely awkward when we - myself, Kimber, and Marshall - got there because we were the only young ones!! Ahh. But then it ended up not being too bad. And it was actually a fantastic meeting! However, it was broadcast from Lai'e Hawai'i.. So I really really really REALLY want to go back to Hawai'i now.. :(
Off to school. x.

Marilyn Monroe..

I've recently taken up Google searching profound quotes by profound women in history. I figure they probably have something to say. And the most profound of the profound women? Marilyn Monroe.
She lived in a time where women were nothing more than sex symbols - and no one more than her. But she kept her head high and her body in tip top shape. But she knew there was something more to life than what she had. Multiple times she fantasized - out loud - of her dreams of becoming a mother and a housewife. Although she was able to become a wife, she was never a mother, and never anything more than a pretty face on the big screen. I have a few favorite quotes by Miss Marilyn Monroe. "I don't mind living in a man's world as long as I can be a woman in it. " "All little girls should be told they're pretty, even if they aren't. " "If I'd observed all the rules, I'd never have got anywhere." "I'm very definitely a woman and I enjoy it." “...If you can make a girl laugh - you can make her do anything...”
And my all time favorite:
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."

5/1/10

Best Day of My Life.

So here we are, are Hannah Gibb's hoose. Again. And me and Meg and Roxanne are just drinking some serious electrolytes - SOO GOOD! :) And then I was like.. Meg! What should the title be?! And she was like.. The best day of my life! So then I was thinking why it would be the best day of my life.. And maybe because I slept in until 11, then had to be at Show Choir at 12:30.. No big deal.. Or maybe because I had a delicious steak sub from Subway and a Sprite slurpee and biffed it while I was trying to run upstairs to open the door.. Or maybe because I just did my last Show Choir performance on a Raymond stage... But whatever! I guess now I just have to make sure the rest of my day is as fantastic as the first 18 hours have been!!!

Day One..

Hum.. So, a few of my friends have starting blogging lately.. And I decided I wanted to recreate a blog that would.. You know, have me blogging! :) However, I can't promise to keep it up to date until after diplomas are over.. Life of a high school senior, I suppose. How dreadful, right? I'll start with today, since today is the start of tomorrow. I woke up.. And went to school. Yay. Then I came home. Double yay. Then Carter came over and we made Rice Krispie Squares! Triple and quadruple yays! THEN I got my hair dyed, and then I had a Show Choir performance - which was awesome. We basically nailed it, I think! AND THEN we had a Show Choir party! It was sort of weird, because usually the party is always always always at McMullin's house. It always has been. But today we went to Freeze's house. And it was fantastic. We definitely had a dance party, and I'm still all sweaty. Mm mm mm.. :) Tomorrow is my last Show Choir performance (on the real stage) and I have mixed emotions. It's definitely going to be sad.. I love Show Choir.. But I hate the work and the time and the annoying grade 10s. We were NEVER like that!! Ever. Never ever ever. It's terrible! If anyone has anything they want me to blog on.. Feel free to ask. :) I mean, I don't have much of a life, so suggestions are welcome.
